Our client is a global ship management company offering market leading technical services to its clients where ever they may be in the world. They pride themselves in ensuring that the vessels under their management are maintained and operated under strict guidelines to deliver optimum performance. They currently manage offshore, wet and dry vessels but this particular role in Germany has become available on the dry side of the market. You will be responsible for the technical management of 4 dry cargo vessel using Sulzer 2 stroke engines. You will be ensuring the engineers are performing their jobs correctly and keeping up with all work required by the PMS system. You will coach and develop engineers on board your ships to be the best they can be in their roles and provide day to day technical support to your ships. You will manage vessel budgets and operating expenditure as well as dealing with the planning and implementation of dry dockings as required. Successful candidates mustHave sailed as a Chief Engineer. Have sailed on dry cargo vessel. Have Technical Superintendent experience. Hold excellent command of the English language. Have the right to live and work in the EU. Be comfortable with planning and maintaining fiscal budgets.
