Consortio have partnered with a fast-growing and distinguished design consultancy that specialises in defence naval architecture. Our client are continuously looking for talented individuals to play a part in their ever-expanding organization with new defence contracts being regularly awarded. As a result of this, our client is recruiting for a Senior Naval Architect to join their busy team and work on new defence contracts. This is an exciting time to join a company that has recently opened a second state of the art office in the South.In this role you are expected to be involved in every stage of a vessel’s design and construction life cycle. We are looking for somebody experienced in both structural and stability analysis, as well as an individual who is able to work on several projects at once. Furthermore, a proficiency with Autocad, Rhino, Paramarine and Seasafe are required to be the ideal candidate. Due to a rapidly expanding team, it essential that the successful candidate is able to divide their time between all of the design an engineering teams, as well as communicate clearly with the end client to ensure their specifications are met. The ideal candidate should: Have a Degree in Naval architecture or Ship Science Have achieved/be looking to achieve membership of RINA and Chartered engineer status Have defence vessel experience Be confident in demonstrating your skills with Rhino, Seasafe, or Paramarine Be a communicative individual with a positive outlook and a strong customer focus. Be capable of achieving SC-Level UK security clearance If you want to work for a world leader in the defence sector and have the opportunity to work on truly state of the art defence projects as a senior Naval Architect, plying your trade in a truly dynamic and challenging working environment, then you are the ideal candidate for the role!
