 Our client is a highly unique business who design from scratch and develop Rugged PC solutions for the global defense and industrial markets. This small family business has recently been acquired by a rapidly growing specialist technology company who work across Marine, Energy, Defense and Space. With this company having been brought into their fold they expect rapid growth over the business in the next 2 years aiming to double the size in headcount, turnover and profit making it just the right time to join them. They are highly committed to personal development and you will have ample opportunity from growth.  The role is for a Sales Engineer to join this team to aid in the growth of the department. Your core role is to liaise with the existing customers and work with them on their orders to get quotes for their requirements. You will be using your technical mind to help guide this large blue-chip customer to the right products they need and then pricing the solution up. This role gives someone with a technical background a great opportunity to move into a more customer facing and commercial role.To be suitable for the role you will be: A person coming from a strong applications engineering or a technical background. A person with a strong interest in building PC’s or gaming rigs or with general computer architectural understanding. If you have any understanding about EMC military standards this would be an advantage but not essential. Strong communications skills and clearly capable of working with customers. This role is an excellent opportunity for a person looking to drive their career in Sales Engineering for someone that is already experienced or if you want to move from being purely technical to commercial. This business will provide mentoring in this role and if you wish to long term work in business development this role is a route to that.
