Consortio is working with a world leading service provider in the maritime sector. They are a large multinational company that continues to expand into a variety of new areas. They have recently updated their global MPLS Network and are now looking for an additional Network/Infrastructure Engineer to join one of their offices in the Netherlands.
In this role you will be joining a global network infrastructure team that is responsible for the deployment and operation of satellite communications across their MPLS network. You will need to work collaboratively with other network engineers in the design and deployment of new services or upgrades whilst also being able to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for coordinating effectively with other departments such as the IP network ream and CSC personnel in other offices. The role will require the successful candidate to continuously keep up to date with new technologies and products.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Hands on knowledge of routing protocols e.g. BGP, EIGRP etc.
- Have experience in Multicast in an MPLS Environment.
- Have knowledge of QoS techniques across WAN technologies.
- To be a self-starter who is inspired by technology.
- Good technical and interpersonal skills in order to work with multiple geographically separated organizations.
