Our client has an extensive history in the Maritime industry and work in over 65 countries worldwide. They provide a mixture of survey and consultancy services to ship owners and managers the world over with a focus on passenger vessels, cruise ships, tankers, and yachts. This business always seeks to promote from within and have a warm and welcoming culture.  The business is seeking to hire a Marine Surveyor to be based from home but covering Scotland and the North East. Day to day you will be providing clients with survey services during construction, and in-service compliance surveys. This role will see you traveling extensively and when not you will be writing expert reports based on your findings. A core element of this role is interacting with ship owners and providing excellent customer service to promote relationship and support the business in maintaining and developing business.To be suitable for this role you will:Have sailed at sea to a senior rank either deck or engine side Hold qualifications as an ISM/ISPS auditor and MLC Inspector Have strong communication skills Be open to extensive and sometimes international travel Be already based in the UK and have the right to live and work You will be rewarded by working for a business that provides a great deal of freedom. You will manage your own diary and plan when to go on surveys. This role allows you to work from home so when report writing cuts out the daily commute to the office!
