Marine Manager


Job Description
 Our client is an international provider of marine transportation to the oil, gas and chemical industries.  Owning a fleet of over 100 tankers comprised of gas, product and chemical.  They have offices located in over 15 countries giving them a truly global presence. For this vacancy they are looking for a Marine Manager for their UK office. In this role you will primarily be responsible for cooperate Marine strategy and initiatives acting as the eyes and ears for all related HSEQ matters involving your ships.  The role requires the management and control of all assurance related activities including vetting, port and flag state inspections, and TMSA to ensure operational continuity.  The chosen candidate will be in constant communication with the fleet directors to develop policies, procedures and objectives while providing a central point of contact for vessel managers to discuss HSEQ issues.  You will be expected to hold regular HSEQ meetings and conduct any refresher training or new starter training sessions.Successful candidates willHave sailed as a Master or Chief Officer on Gas tankers. Already have at least 2 years in a similar role. Have the right to live and work in the UK. Be able to demonstrate an understanding of root cause analysis and incident investigation.   This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to join an organization who have put them self at the forefront of tanker ownship, some would say an employer of choice.  The successful candidate will work in a flexible environment that places huge emphasis on team work which ensures a positive working atmosphere.  A competitive package is on offer for the chosen candidate as well as support with accommodation and a yearly bonus.
