But now we want to be even better! We’re looking for a proactive and dynamic Area Sales Manager to our Repair Sales Support team in Aalborg.
So, what are you going to do today?
As our new Area Sales Manager, you are responsible for driving the internal regional sales for Alfa-Laval Marine Boiler Repair business across our global markets. You will report to the Global Sales Manager Repair and will be a member of a sales support team consisting of 9 dedicated sales colleagues.
Excellent Sales support and training in a technical repair business
Through a unique ability to provide top-level sales support both to customers and Sales companies in Alfa-Laval, you manage to drive and grow the sales of the boiler repair business. Your sales performance is enhanced through true business acumen, where you use your technical marine background to perform Best-In-Class sales training to your colleagues in the markets, while on an everyday basis providing them with lean and sharp customer service. On top, you will be responsible for continuously developing the repair services to customers, which is handled through excellent support to our sales companies in Alfa Laval.
- Delivering best-in-class technical sales and support responsible internally in Alfa Laval
- Accelerate sales through lean technical customer-support on repair sales projects
- Proactive develop market plans together with each market respectively. Ensure plans are updated continuously, while executing on business opportunities
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully maintain, support and develop the business
- Understand and commercialize the deep in-house technical knowledge and make it digestible and easy to understand for the markets in a sales situation
- Grow and maintain strong relationship with Sales companies to build knowledge about our Marine Boiler Service. Conduct sales training, develop drivers and sales specialists in your markets
- Drive awareness internally of new product launches within the Alfa Laval repair business
- Ensure quotations, documentation and project-handover are in line with customer demands
For this position around 40 travelling days a year must be expected. To be a success you will influence the sales strategy for your markets, and at the same time you will be executing it together with the sales companies.
Strong Maritime background with proactive personality
We are looking for a person with strong technical understanding rooted in the maritime business. It will be a plus, if you have experience working in a global organization with Marine Boiler Technologies. Besides your technical capabilities, you possess a commercial mindset which is maybe proven by commercial sales experience.
Further, good written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, along with good understanding of Microsoft Office products.
Personally, you know how to navigate/influence stakeholders to get your agenda on the table. You know what it takes to continuously push for action, while at the same time you find it easy to maintain and establish positive new relations internal as external through your outgoing and proactive way. You have a well-organized approach to your many tasks from beginning to end and meet your deadlines.
Your challenges and tasks
Our new Area Sales Manager will be responsible for supporting Alfa Laval’s sales offices with technical support and knowledge. You utilize your commercial mindset and your technical background to accelerate sales in your markets in a supporting way. This is achieved by building up knowledge about our services and products in the markets, while at the same time making sure our colleagues understand the true value proportions our services and products includes. Most likely, you know what It takes to create competitive quotations, based on market feedback regarding projects to be solved.
